Roger W-W-W Garrett is a local radio "DJ" who was the morning drive personality on 98.3 FM KORA.
You may most remember the Roger & Roy" Morning show on KORA from 2004 to 2012.Roger was one of the "Breakfast Flakes" on 92 Rock KTSR from 1993 to 2002, along with Jay Socol news and Tom Turbiville sports. In radio broadcasting for 54 years, Roger was a #1 rated personality on 104 KRBE in Houston and KHFI-FM in Austin.

Lone Star PETS is Rotary’s training program for Rotary Club Presidents-elect and President-nominee throughout the State of Texas. The goal of Lone Star PETS is to prepare Presidents-elect and President-nominees for their upcoming roles through provocative plenary speakers, in-depth breakout sessions, and informal fellowship and networking with Rotary peers throughout Texas.
Each year, over 550 Presidents-elect attend Lone Star PETS and leave well-prepared for their Rotary year. Lone Star PETS is organized by an Board of Directors and an Operating Committee that work in concert with the District Governors-elect of each of the ten participating Rotary Districts.
The Host Organisation Committee is very excited to welcome Rotary members and guests to Singapore for the 2024 Rotary International Convention. 3 - ROTARY'S WHEEL EMBLEM
A wheel has been the symbol of Rotary since our earliest days. The first design was made by Chicago Rotarian Montague Bear, an engraver who drew a simple wagon wheel, with a few lines to show dust and motion. The wheel was said to illustrate "Civilization and Movement." Most of the early clubs had some form of wagon wheel on their publications and letterheads. Finally, in 1922, it was decided that all Rotary clubs should adopt a single design as the exclusive emblem of Rotarians. Thus, in 1923, the present gear wheel, with 24 cogs and six spokes was adopted by the "Rotary International Association." A group of engineers advised that the geared wheel was mechanically unsound and would not work without a "keyway" in the center of the gear to attach it to a power shaft. So, in 1923 the keyway was added and the design which we now know was formally adopted as the official Rotary International emblem." The “Wheel” remained unchanged until 2016 when Rotary adopted the new look “Masterbrand” and “Mark of Excellence” used today.
