We chartered a bus to transport 13 RYLA participants to and from leadership camp. The purpose is to encourage engagement between participants and to better prepare them for the leadership camp. This benefitted the young participants, created unity in our clubs and increase bond among club members.

Community Assessment: How the project team learned about the community’s needs
The need to transport the youth was apparent, plus the need to better prepare them by engaging prior to the camp helped in feeling more at ease knowing that you already met someone. This created a bond between the youth before and a opportunity to discuss take aways after was also very helpful.
Project Impact: How the project will help the community after the project ends
Several students left wanting to form an Interact club in their school and they inquired about how to go about it. They got to talk to two Rotarians on the way home.
Sustainability: How the benefits of the project will continue afterward
They were inspired to start a club and that will benefit them, and their community.
