THANKSGIVING BASKETS

November 21, 2025
8 AM - 1 PM CST

The Cause

Our annual Thanksgiving Baskets event is a highlight service project every year for the Rotary Club of Aggieland. We assemble and deliver more than 500 boxes of food to families across the Brazos Valley, spreading warmth and hope to those in need.

Each year, we aim to embrace the spirit of giving to the community by providing a feast to our fellow citizens.

The Volunteers

We are three weeks away from the 2025 Thanksgiving Basket Event! We are excited to assemble and deliver more than 500 meals to families throughout the Brazos Valley, but we need your help! Volunteers are vital to make this event successful.

Consider signing up to serve as part of the assembly of the meals and/or delivery. Please be aware of the time slots you sign up for, and do not sign up for two slots that overlap.

The event will be held at A&M Church of Christ, 2475 Earl Rudder Fwy S, College Station.

If you have any questions, please email our Service Chair, Barbie Patterson, at aggielandrotary@gmail.com.

The History

The Thanksgiving Baskets event began in 1997 with the humble delivery of 12 baskets. Over the years, it has grown exponentially, reflecting the generosity and compassion of the Brazos Valley community.

“This event is such a beautiful reminder of what we can accomplish together,” said Tatiana Rivera, the Rotary Club's volunteer service chair. Having started as a volunteer four years ago, Rivera has witnessed the program’s incredible impact firsthand. “We’re deeply thankful to our sponsors, whose generosity has made this possible, and to the volunteers who gave their time and energy on Saturday.”
